| You Can't Not Move to the “Urban Groove” sound
Out front Urban Groove have the smoothest man in the business, ‘Supa-Toby’ Leisner. Singing profesionally for 15 years and was the Star of Starstruck in ‘94 and ‘95, as well as front man from ex Newcastle party band JJ Sam. Toby combines his sheer magnetism with uncanny vocal improvisations, providing a contagious energy that rubs off on anyone within earshot. Toby is backed by Adam ‘Nurse Spandex’ Morris on drums, the ever funky Steven ‘Poncho’ Wooster on bass, and Marcus Peeples on guitar, creating the hottest rhythm section anywhere, any-when. These lads first learnt their art at King’s Comedy Restaurant, and then refined it in former Newcastle party band, JJ Sam. Enter the Brothers G, the punchy pound of horn hurled sound, ‘Bleeding Gums’ Bernie and ‘Robo’ Rowan, are the newcomers to the mix. Having toured both nationally and through the U.S. the G’s bring a cornucopia of talent, experience and form a large part of the fresh, sexy sound that is Groove Central. With the ability to play jazz as well as their dance sets, Groove Central cater for all weddings and cooperate functions. Added to this, their wealth of profesional experience in cooperate and private entertainment has given the boys with a superior degree of professionalism and an excellent feel for what the mood requires. Urban Groove are the complete package; the look, the professionalism, and most importantly, entertainment for when only the best, and funkiest, will do. |
